About our Custom Design Service
At Fancy Pants Jewelers, our custom design service turns your ideas into beautifully crafted, one-of-a-kind pieces. Whether you’re starting with a sketch, an heirloom stone, or simply an idea in your mind, our experienced jewelers work closely with you to bring your vision to life. From engagement rings to statement necklaces, each design is tailored to reflect your style, story, and personality.
Using a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, we guide you through every step—from concept and design to the final, finished piece. You’ll have the opportunity to approve detailed renderings before we begin crafting, ensuring the result is exactly what you imagined. The result is a piece of jewelry as unique as you are, made to be cherished for a lifetime.
Inspiration & Design
Whether you know exactly what you want to do or are interested in exploring all possibilities, come in for a conversation with one of our jewelers. Once we have a good idea of what you’d like, we can move on to designing!
CAD & Casting
After a $160 design fee, we take your ideas and model them in 3D using a computer-aided design program. We will then send you rendered images of that 3D model, showing you roughly what your finished design will look like. Based on your feedback, we’ll make any changes you request before 3D printing the design, making a mold, and casting it in the metal of your choice.
Finishing Touches
Our jewelers clean up the rough cast, polish it, set any gems, and otherwise put the finishing touches on your personalized piece. All work is done by hand by our experienced jewelers right here in store, guaranteeing you a high quality final product.
